Orwigsburg:
Orwigsburg is a small town located, approximately 25 miles north of Reading, PA.  Easily accessible from Route 61 & 895.  The borough is roughly 2.5 square miles with a beautiful town square.  Orwigsburg is part of the Blue Mountain School District. Orwigsburg was the original county seat of Schuylkill County in 1811 until the seat was moved to Pottsville in 1851. 

Things to do:

·        Five parks for public use

·        The Memorial Complex consists of 2 baseball fields and the Memorial Building

·        The Lions Club walking trail begins on this property and continues to and around the Blue Mountain School complex

·        Fishers Dam on South Washington Street is available for fishing and relaxing

·        Albright’s Woods is on Grove Street and is available for picnic rentals
